It seemed like it took forever for the insurance company to approve my for Benlysta. Well, 6 months is pretty much forever, when you have lupus and you're in daily pain.
I finally got the call from the infusion clinic for my appointment. I couldn't believe I was actually excited to get an infusion. Who would have thought. Could I actually contain my excitement for an entire week?
Thursday rolled around and Mr. Migraine decided to visit. He was here wouldn't go away. Friday, Saturday and again Sunday! Mr. Migraine was here to stay and by this day I was extended on Amerge, I felt like OD'd on Tramadol. I was so violently ill, vomiting and all. I was going numb, and tingling. Ugh! I had migraines for over 39 years and I've had it!
The worst of it started Sunday at 1:00am and my infusion was Monday morning. Holy cow! I'm not going to make it. At 6:00am, I'm still getting ill. Thank you very much Mr. Migraine!
Big Fat Cancel! Rescheduled for the following week. I hate it when I feel like I've failed myself. That's the worse feeling ever.
